AARON’S BEARD - MOOD CHANGER:
from a millenary tradition to modern clinical uses in medicine and psychiatry

Behind the millenary use of Aaron's Beard, known in the ancient world by the name fugademoni ('demon chaser'), lies man's ancestral fear of neurological illnesses, whose unknown causes used to be attributed to the influence of devils.
The renewed interest of modern medicine in this plant is due to the many confirmations given of its properties to act on states of slight and moderate depression on a par with synthesised drugs but without most of their side effects.
