Chess Pieces at the Time of Luca Pacioli

A ChessAboca Museum presents Chess Pieces at the Time of Luca Pacioli as part of the historical project that has also resulted in the publication of the facsimile of De ludo scachorum, a fifteenth-century manuscript on chess written by the mathematician from Sansepolcro. With its reproduction of the Chess Pieces at the Time of Luca Pacioli, Aboca Museum once more declares its aim to bring attention to bear on the culture of the Tiber Valley in Tuscany, in parallel with its celebration of the Classical interest in medicinal plants. The chess pieces, which were designed by the Italian American Franco Alessandrini, are made of sandblasted, burnished bronze.

Each set of chess pieces is certified and numbered, and presented in an elegant oak box.
