In the company of narcotic and poisonous plants

In the Poison Room, stramonium or "devil's snare", lethal deadly nightshade, magical foxgloves and other unexpectedly toxic plants are on display, used by apothecaries to prepare the so-called "soporific sponge", as visitors to the Aboca Museum learn about the wisdom of ancient scientists, and their skill in measuring the right doses of toxic and poisonous substances extracted from plants in order to turn them into beneficial medicinal formulas.
After visiting the exhibition, guests can take a journey through the world of urban botany, discovering the tenacious, hardy herbs that grow in the walls of houses or between the cracks in the pavement and which have hidden healing properties.

COST: 12€ per adult - 7€ for children aged 6 and above
