Ecologia del desiderio. Curare il pianeta senza rinunce

Aboca Ecologiadesiderio Copertina

We are on the brink of the first mass extinction caused by a single species - that which defines itself as sapiens. It is time to sound the alarm: we must change the ways in which we produce and live. Antonio Cianciullo, a journalist with longterm involvement in ecological issues, explains how, in order to prevent the collapse of ecosystems, there must be a widely shared endeavour capable of mobilising huge numbers: clean, efficient energy; high comfort, zero-emission buildings; faster, safer, more stress-free transport systems; vast green areas, like temples for physical and psychological regenerations; and food that is enjoyable without the high price tag. For this to happen, the ecological perspective and its challenges must be made attractive, desirable, and within grasp.

Antonio Cianciullo, journalist and writer, has reported on environmental issues for the daily newspaper “La Repubblica” for over thirty years. His books include: Atti contro natura (Feltrinelli, 1992), Il grande caldo (Ponte alle Grazie, 2004), Soft economy (Rizzoli, 2005, with Ermete Realacci) and Dark economy (Einaudi, 2012, with Enrico Fontana).
