Crescita qualitativa

Fritjof Capra - Hazel Henderson

Crescitaqual Nuovacop 250A conceptual chart to identify solutions for the ongoing crisis that are economically valid, ecologically sustainable and socially equal.

In the current context of global crisis, is it still possible to think of growing again or should we surrender to an inevitable descent?

Fritjof Capra and Hazel Henderson will guide us through a research itinerary that shows how it is possible and necessary to see things from a different perspective, changing the conceptual reference scenario.

It is in this context that a different concept of value has taken hold, in which the development of our civilisation does not involve an unsustainable increase in the amount of goods and of commerce, but instead a change in the system, with the qualities required for the emergence of actual progress for humanity.

Fritjof Capra, a renowned physicist and scholar of the systems theory, is the co-founder and director of the Center for Ecoliteracy in Berkeley, California.
For this collection, he has published "Leonardo's Botany" (Aboca, 2009).
By the same author: "The Tao of Physics" (Adelphi, 1982); The Turning Point (Feltrinelli 1984); "The Web of Life" (2001); "The Systems View of Life" (Rizzoli, 2002); "Belonging to the Universe" (Rizzoli, 2007); "Learning from Leonardo" (Rizzoli, 2012).

Hazel Henderson, author of "Ethical Markets: Growing the Green Economy" (2006), and co-founder, with Calvert Group, of the Calvert-Henderson life quality indicators, she was a member of the committee that organised the "Beyond GDP" conference that addressed the European Parliament in 2007.
