La regolarizzazione del rallentato Transito Intestinale con Piante Medicinali e Sostanze Naturali

Mauro Bortolotti, Paolo Di Maurizio, Antonio Guerci, Andrea Lugli e Giuseppe Ventriglia

Transito Intestinale 250

Through a wide view that encompasses medical anthropology and the mechanisms of action of medicinal plants, the text describes, from the theoretical and practical points of view, the problem of regularising slow intestinal transit, explaining its pathological, clinical and epidemiological aspects.

Constipation is particularly detailed in its clinical aspects, in particular describing correct patient management, as well as from the point of view of useful medicinal plants and natural substances.

The chapters on physiology, pathophysiology and ecology of the intestines attempt to provide a wider view of the phenomena that are at the base of alterations of intestinal transit. The chapter on medical anthropology is a journey through time and space, taking readers through different historical periods, touching all continents and different cultures. It illustrates remedies used in eleven traditional medicines.

The work of all the authors has led to the creation of a textbook that is useful in everyday practice and rich in stimuli for those who wish to learn more about the subject.
