The applied arts in the field of medicinal plants: botanical illustrations on paper, ceramic and glass

Aboca Museum conserves and documents an extensive body of materials, such as ancient printed herbals that provide a record of the iconographic development of botanical illustrations, pharmaceutical containers made in different eras in the most important centres of production in Italy, and glassware used as laboratory instruments and for preserving herbal preparations.

The visit aims to introduce materials relating to art, history and herbal-pharmaceutical products.
