Senegalese hibiscus, American cocoa, Asian calamus and the other exotic essences on display at the Aboca Museum tell the story of the drugs discovered by travelling merchants on distant shores - substances that not only boasted delicious flavours, but also promised to bring health and longevity, thus becoming essential products in any apothecary. Subsequently, guests can pay a visit to the Aboca medicinal herb gardens to learn about organic crops.
After the tour of the exhibition is complete, the doors to experimentation will be thrown wide open in the museum's herbalist laboratory, where visitors will be invited to delve into the world of apothecaries and pharmacists, preparing a lip balm containing two ingredients from faraway exotic lands: cocoa butter and shea butter.
COST: 17€ per adult - 12€ for children aged 6 and above
